Is your business subject to the new Environmental Permitting system?
Environmental Permitting affects a wide range of industrial sectors.
You will require an Environmental Permit if you operate:
- installations that carry out Schedule 1 activities;
- a waste operation;
- a mobile plant that carries out either a Schedule 1 activity or a waste operation.
The collective term used in the Regulations for these installations, waste operations and mobile plant is a "regulated facility".
There may be more than one regulated facility on the same site. In such cases there are arrangements in the Regulations to allow all such facilities to be regulated by the same regulator and to allow, in many cases, for a single permit.
Abricon can clarify if and which permit your facility or facilities require, and if you may be eligible for a single permit.
Remember, it is an offence under regulation 12 to operate a regulated facility without an Environmental Permit.
Contact Abricon for free initial advice on these and other environmental permitting issues.
