Must I exchange my PPC licence for an Environmental Permit?

If you already have a PPC permit or a Waste Management Licence, it will automatically become an Environmental Permit from 6 April.

You won’t need to reapply.

The regulator for these permits also remains the same and will not change unless there is a subsequent direction from the Secretary of State or the Welsh Assembly Government.

Where there is an outstanding application, these existing permits and licences automatically become environmental permits from the date the Regulations come in to force
